For NGOs and humanitarians
Mission notes for NGOs and humanitarian teams
In one sentence
nTilia is an offline notes app for NGO missions: one folder per mission, notes that stay encrypted on the phone, a sourced background briefing on the place, and a report you can publish once reviewed.
What a mission demands
- Working for days without a reliable network.
- Not exposing vulnerable people’s data if a phone is lost or searched.
- Understanding a place before arriving: risks, history, sourced figures.
- Reporting back with verifiable facts.
How nTilia answers
One Mission per trip
Notes, photos, audio and places kept together; the ZIP export takes only that Mission.
Sensitive data on the phone
Encrypted vault (AES-256-GCM) and device-only notes that never sync. Sensitive field mode masks GPS by default on publication.
Background briefing on the place
On Pro+: geography, risks, history and society, plus an open-data tab (World Bank, HDX/OCHA, WHO, Wikidata), each figure with its source, vintage and license.
A publishable report
Once reviewed, the briefing can be published as a versioned, citable “Mission context”, never with coordinates.
For a team
nTilia is built for the author of a mission. For an organization equipping several people, the Newsroom offer is quoted on request. nTilia is not a case-management or structured data-collection tool.
Frequently asked questions
Does nTilia protect beneficiaries’ data?
On the phone: an encrypted vault and device-only notes that never sync. Once synced, other notes are private but not end-to-end encrypted, so the report can be published: don’t sync what must not leave the device.
Can we work without a network for several days?
Yes. Capture, dictation and editing work offline; sync resumes when the network is back and nTilia is open.
Where do the briefing’s figures come from?
From open sources such as the World Bank, HDX/OCHA, WHO and Wikidata, each with its source, vintage and license.
