A private foundation under Belgian law, AWAKEN DESTINY finances and supports humanitarian projects for vulnerable people, mainly in Cameroon. The organization defines itself as apolitical and structures its action around a dual objective: providing concrete support and fostering the empowerment of communities in difficulty.

## A local foothold in Nkolmesseng

Since July 2026, the projects run by the foundation's partner association have been brought together in a single building in Nkolmesseng, a district of Yaoundé. The site, larger than the previous one, centralizes all activities under the responsibility of a Cameroonian team.

On the facade, a plaque bears the name AWAKEN DESTINY in large letters. On the roof, two flags fly side by side: that of Belgium and that of Cameroon, visually marking the foundation's dual roots, born from a cooperation between the two countries.

## Concrete actions on the ground

The foundation supports four operational initiatives in Nkolmesseng:

- a **sewing workshop** offering professional training;
- a **soap-making workshop** offering training in a trade;
- a **homework support school** to assist children's schooling;
- the **Comptoir d'Avenir**, a support scheme for local communities.

Each of these projects targets a need identified on the ground: access to a trade, school support, and local assistance.
